Today I successfully did the first ascent of Tears in the Rain V7, a challenging slab problem at Windy Boulder. I've climbed every established slab in Nova Scotia, and this presented me with perhaps the toughest challenge thus far. Less-than-ideal conditions on the rock made it difficult to gauge just how hard it truly was. Nevertheless, I'm happy with the progress after an arduous recovery following surgery. Update - good temps knocked 2 grades off this slab and make running laps a breeze. Summer fog climbing is the real hardest climb!
