Thoughtful Spot has suffered irreversible damage due to individuals altering holds. Addressing misconceptions, we clarify the following:

1. The damage is not natural wear; such assumptions display inexperience and disrespect for maintaining climbing areas. Expert opinions should be heeded.
2. Smoothing holds does not improve climbing; granite texture enhances the experience. Claims to the contrary are misguided.
3. Those responsible for the damage have stopped. We assume it was a mistake, but we'll act if such behavior resumes.
